1. Firecracker Cupcakes

These couldn’t be easier! Use white cake mix and vanilla frosting and food coloring to make red, white, and blue cupcakes. You can do each cupcake one color or swirl red and blue food coloring to mix things up! Color the frosting with food coloring too and then use Pop-Rocks candy as the sprinkles.

Kids will love the pops of candy when they eat them! 

2. Red, White, and Fruit Kabobs

These don’t require any baking and are a healthy addition to your dessert table. Use wooden skewers to alternate strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and mini-marshmallows.

These are so simple that you can put the kids in charge of them! 

3. Star-Spangled Poke Cake

This colorful poke cake couldn’t be easier. Use boxed white cake mix and follow the directions on the box to bake the cake.

Then use the end of a wooden spoon to poke holes in the cake, pour raspberry or strawberry sauce over the entire thing, then top with fruit and whipped cream.

When you cut into it, you’ll see red and white stripes. 

4. Flag Cake

The flag cake is super versatile because you can use whatever you want as your base. White cake, yellow cake, shortcake, pound cake, whatever your heart desires. 

Once you have your base ready to go, use whipped cream, buttercream frosting, or another whipped frosting to frost the cake. Then use strawberries (or raspberries) and blueberries to create stars and stripes. 

You can make this cake as healthy or as rich as you like! 

5. Red, White, and Blue Strawberries

Melt white chocolate chips or white melting chocolate in the microwave, dip the strawberry in the chocolate (about 3/4 of the way up) and then dip the bottom fourth of the strawberry in blue sugar sprinkles. 

Place on a sheet of wax paper or parchment paper to dry and wow your guests with a dessert that looks fancy but took just minutes to make. 

6. Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Strawberries and pretzels don’t sound like your typical salad, right? Although it’s not very salad-like, strawberry pretzel salad brings together salty and sweet flavors perfect for your cookout. 

The crust is made of pretzels, the middle layer of cream cheese and confectioner’s sugar, and the top layer is a mix of fresh strawberries and strawberry jello.
